DVD Architect Menus and Photoshop PSDs

Hello all members!

I'm so excited to be using Sony DVD Architect 3, but I have some questions regarding the "Insert Menu from File" feature which allows me to use a specially formatted Adobe Photoshop File (*.psd) to import a predesigned menu.

My first issue is regarding the button layers from my PSD menu. When creating a 'button-01-highlight' layer for my 'button-01-thumbnail' in Photoshop, I will change the size of the highlight. For example, if my thumbnail is the text "play movie", I will duplicate that layer and erase part of the text so that only the word "play" would be highlighted. This looks fine in Photoshop, however, when I then import that layer into DVDA the highlight layer will stretch itself to the length of the thumbnail layer. What am I doing wrong / is this a bug?

My second issue is regarding the group layers from my PSD menu. As mentioned in the online manual, I can create different groups (ie: background-01-group, button-01-group) to catagorize my background or button layers. However, once I have created more than one of these groups DVDA will not allow me to import the PSD file, instead I will get the following error:

Duplicate layer name encontered. Layer '</Layer group>' is used more than once in the same file.
There was an error in retrieving layer information from this file.

What am I doing wrong / is this a bug?
