DVD Architect Stdui hangs at flash screen

Hi,

Strange thing.. all my Sony Stdudio 9 software will not work, everything else is fine.

Vegas and Audio studio hang at the initial screen when it shows the previous work you did etc.

DVD Architect hangs at the flash screen.

I uninstalled DVD Architect... now can not re-install.. starts and then disappears.

Any ideas.

Did do everything as per the one Sony link for similar issues, re-installed DirectX, uninstalled newish software.

Like I said, funny thing is, everything else is fine... only wanted to cut an old DVD and then got yhis problem.

last time, solution was a complete re-install... don't want to do that again, only been two months.

System Restore is your friend.

Nothing can bork all of your Sony apps, except a bad third-party driver or lib install, DirectX failure, or impending hard disk failure.

I would suspect something you installed on your system added a bad plugin or codec pack that replaced one or more system DLLs.

Thus a System Restore to a time when you know everything was working is in order.
