DVD Architect Studio with Sony Nex VG10 cam

DVD Architect Studio 5.0 that came along with my VG10 Handy Cam is not writing dvds, just wondering what I am doing wrong.

No matter what I do it says "A problem occurred while writting a file to dvd. ."

putting mp3/wav/ac-3 music on dvd main page caused the same problem so i removed the music and tried but the same result.

So I removed everything else and put just the video file in avchd format just like burning a plane cd, -> same problem.

It gave same problem when i tried the same with mp4 file, and most frustratingly, it said " a problem occurred while trying to write a file.." when I put the mpeg-2 video file and this was the only file I was trying to put on the dvd.

Was I doing something wrong or it was just the magic of free version of dvd writter that came along with a purchase of a handycam?

I would not recommend using raw video directly from that camcorder as source video in DVD Architect, fokedas. The program isn't designed to work like that.

I would very much recommend editing the video in Vegas first, and then outputting it from Vegas to DVD Architect as a DVD- or BluRay-ready video file.

Dear Steve,
the video file was edited in Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinium 10.0 and saved as:
AVCHD
MP4
mpeg-2
DV Architect Studio 5.0 was unable to write none, saying "..a problem occurred writting a file.." with no details on which file and why.

Are you trying to output a DVD or a BluRay disc?

It may not be enough to save the file as an MPEG -- or any other format. It should ideally be the same format as the disc your plan to output.

i am not sure what do you mean by
" ..It may not be enough to save the file as an MPEG -- or any other format. It should ideally be the same format as the disc your plan to output.."

If you are going to use your video as a DVD, you should use the output settings for an MPEG2 at DVD quality or 1440x1080.

Or, from Vegas, to keep it simple (depending on which version of Vegas or Vegas Movie Studio you're using), just choose Make Movie/Burn Disc/DVD with Menu. The program will create the MPEG and port it directly over to DVD Architect for you.
