DVD Architect / xboxcompatability

I recently purchased DVD architect and burned a DVD in NTSC 720x480, 29.970fps setting. The media was a Maxwll +RW disc. My burner is a sony DVD RW DW-U12A.
It plays great on my computer but won't play in Xbox. I tried XBOX support and they said Xbox only plays DVD-Video discs.
I'm not sure what they mean.
Before I waste cash trying all the different DVD formats I was wondering if anybody has had any success playing DVD's created with DVD Architect on Xbox? Or maybe some sugestions?

I've been unable to get my XBox to play +R dvds.

-R no problem.

So try burning on a -R Blank.

One cool thing with Xbox and -R... it will play Region Free PAL -R and convert it to NTSC! Pretty handy sometimes... just can't get it play +R/+RW

The problem I have is that if you have to many menu items the xbox can't cope - it spits the dummy and goes back to the xbox screen.
I am burning PAL using -R/RW - the stuff it can play it plays fine it just doesn't want to know about entire sub-menus.
I've been told on this forum that this is an X-box feature!

and I have no problems. I burn all my movies to the +RW to view and change anything that I might not have noticed in DVDA then render the final to -r that also plays well. I have never tried +r or -rw.

I did some research on the XBOX and there are at least two generations. I have the very first and it is apparently more finicky than the latter.
That's the only reason I can think of that we would get different results cheroxy.
I guess I'll try the -r discs.

Just an update. I finally tried a dvd-r disc and it played just fine in the xbox.

While I do not have an X-Box, I was able to play Fuji +R DVDs on my sister's X-Box no problem.

Her wedding, which was placed on DVD, would *not* play on her X-Box. I do not know what kind of media/format it was.

My DVD-A +R discs played just fine though...

My X-box plays Sony dvd+r, Sony dvd+rw, Sony dvd-rw and Maxell dvd-r without any problems so far.
