I'd like to author some DVD-Audio projects, but DVD-Architect doesn't support them. Even though DVD Architect (4.5) doesn't master DVD-Audio, people have suggested that I import the 96Khz/24-bit files and rendering them as DVD-Video instead.
I see two ways to do this:
1) Create an audio compilation project.
2) Create a video project, and import the audio (no video).
Problems with (1):
This type of project only seems to accept 48Khz/16-bit files. Anything else (96/24 or 44/16), and it wants to recompress -- which I do not want. DVDA complains that my files are not DVD compliant audio files, and therefore must recompress them.
Problems with (2):
Creating a video project and importing 96/24 seems to be a fine and dandy idea. I look at the DVD-Optimizations and see that recompression is not required. However, the resulting output file is about 2.5 times larger than my audio -- presumably because it now has an associated video stream to go along with it.
Questions:
1) How do I get an audio compilation to accept 96/24 audio without recompression?
2) How do I remove the video stream from a video project when all I want is 96/24 uncompressed audio?
