I noticed that My DVDit accepts the default settings from the VV mpeg 2 rendering template but Ulead Movie Factory does not. Changing the bitrate seems to make the difference. Anyone know what the primary perceived affect that will have to the average viewer on the average NTSC TV?
DVDit re renders your file, so it don't care. DVD Movie Factory is looking for a pre rendered compliant file (better) but you need to select the proper NTSC or PAL DVD template, NOT the default.
BillyBoy is right. The DVD NTSC template works pretty darn well. With variable bitrate, I'm getting a little over two hours on a disc and no re-encoding in DVD MF.
