DVD breakdown in quality?

I'm having trouble with some discs I burned using Vegas 6 a while back.

I'm getting errors of dirty discs from my player as well as frozen screens, graphic distortions, etc.

I've gotten reports from those to whom I've given discs of the same thing after time.

Is this a problem with not pressing professionally, or could it be a compatibility issue between my Pioneer burner and my choice of media? (TDK).

Also, is there a low-cost way to produce professional grade copies in numbers of 15 and fewer?

Thanks in advance.

Either your burner is going or you have some bad media.

I am not a big fan of TDK, but I have had good luck with Sony, Maxell and Taiyo Yuden valueline from Meritline.

Let's put it this way...

The day that Taiyo Yuden 8x +R Made In Japan discs and Verbatim 8x -R discs are no longer produced, I quit the video business.

Ok, I'll look for those.

How about the second issue: Is there a shelf-life for home-burned discs?

Thanks as always.
