When I go to burn DVD, I do not have my DVD burner as a Device choice. The only choice is ISO Image Writer which does not burn to the DVD. How can I get my burner to show up so I can choose to burn to DVD? Thanks for help.
Make sure you are running the latest update of DVDA or DVDAS - click on the support link at the top of the page and go to the downloads section. If after updating it still doesn't show up, then I'd formally report the problem to Sony (again, click on the support link) and then use something like Nero or CopyToDVD to do the actual burn.
We could probably be more helpful if you mention a few specifics:
1. What version of DVD Architect are you using?
2. What is the brand and model of your burner?
3. How is the burner connected? Internal IDE, external USB, external firewire?
3. Are you using both the latest update of your version DVD Architect, and are you using the most current firmware for your burner? (For the latter, check the manufacturer's website.)
hey topsub, you mentioned DVDA and Verbatim. would you mind having a look at my thread "Double layer discs not recognized by DVDA"? much appreciate it!
Thank's DGrob I will contact Sony
Thank's also SKROOTAYP but until now I've not used DL : I wait the price of the disks to decrease !
But I have some more news for DVD A3 and Verbatim X16
I've changed the burner Pioneer 110D, latest firmware
with Nec 4550A, latest firmware 1.08
because the burn with Pioneer 110D was not good with Nero 6.6.1.4 : the DVD didn't play properly !
With Nec 4550A it is OK with Nero and Verbatim X16. With this NEC burner I can burn Verbatim X16 with DVD A3.0c BUT it doesn't use the speed X16. Time to burn is like X4 !! But at least it works.
So I will contact Sony to send me the *dll
Conclusion : DVD A3.0c likes Verbatim X16 but not fully :)
