Only suggestion I would make is to make sure your DVD burner's BIOS is the most current, and to update DVDA with the most current version on the website. That solved a burner issue for me, using the Sony DRU-500A.
I use a new Pioneer DVR-A05 and it works perfectly with DVD-A vers 1.0a.
The interface shows that I have 1x or 2x option for DVD-RW and 1x, 2x, and 4x option for DVD-R just as it should be. Not only that, but it erases my DVD-RWs very fast (about 20-secs).
The current DVDit!PE (2.5.4) will only run my DVR-A05 at 1x speed and fumbles miserably. So, I'm really impressed at how DVD-A is handling my burner...
It's actually the DVD firmware; you can generally find copies of the most recent firmware for all drives at www.firmware-flash.com - or you can go to the manufacturer web site.
Same question I posed a bit earlier. What firmware version are you referring-to? I also have the 500a, and it's never gotten past 1x. Hoping maybe the right update will help, but I'm a bit reluctant to simply start changing things and waiting for something to start working.
Sid,
Is the DRU-500A.... you mean "A series" or just A..... I saw on the net DRU-500AX...I wonder if I need to update the firmware also for ...AX?
thanks
