Easiest way is to just do an analog capture from a DVD Player. If you made the video in Vegas it most likely has AC3 audio which Vegas won't import and then you have to go through a lot of ripping and re-encoding in order to get something you can work with.

I've used this DVD2AVI freeware to render out Huffy codec avi with very good results.

If you just need video and not audio, I've had good luck just dropping the .VOB file on the Vegas timeline.

If you need audio, too, see the recommendations above.
