PLEASE HELP!! I have completed my first film on DVD but cannot create a DVD that is highly compatible with other players. Here's what I have so far:
1. Captured and edited DV Film using Sony Vegas 5.0
2. Rendered in Vegas 5.0 to MPEG2
3. Compiled DVD in DVD Architect 2 - got all the updates
4. Updated Firmware on my Burner (Micro Advantage IDE Internal Drive)
5. Created the VIDEO_TS AUDIO_TS files using DVDA 2.0
6. Burned the DVD using NERO 6.6 - got all the updates
The DVD Plays fine on my computer and my DVD Player at home, but almost every other DVD Player (5 that I know of) will only play half of the movie (It's 50 minutes long) and then it just freezes up. Stops playing, and you cannot get it continue. I'm using DVD-R media.
If I use Sony media, will this compatibility problem go away?
Does it matter if I burn at 1X, 2X, or 4X speed?
How does the different Burn Speeds affect compatibility with DVD Players?
What does the different burn speeds affect?
What is the best approach for producing the highest quality, highly compatible DVD?
Please help.
