Are these files MPEG2 or another format? If DVDA needs to re-compress, it might do it at higher bitrate, so they might come out as 5 GBs.

they are .VOB. I rename them as MPG but still, the problem is why does it display it in in DVDA as larger than it really is. I should be able to put at least 4 of these files on the disc???
The file size each is 1,048,574kbs(That's just under 1gig, right?)
How come it just can't burn them as is??? If what you say is true, can I change the DVDA's default bitrate so it will show different results(disc space used) in the preview?

DVDA gives access to all the information you need. You can also change bitrate and recompression sessions.
Hit 'Make Movie' < prepare, and then 'next'. You're in 'Review Message List' now. Bottom right, there is a button called 'optimize'. Hit it. In the next window, a full analysis is given of all that dvda will do, and why. Just click on one of the files to the left, an then to the right click 'video1' and see all the numbers and reasons given for recompression.
