DVD from timeline

Can Vegas create a DVD right from the timeline?

I'm just looking for a DVD with chapter points from the timeline. In Tools there is the option for a Blu-Ray disc from the timeline, but it doesn't have a specific choice for a normal DVD.

But if I do choose the Blu-Ray option, I notice I can pick NTSC video stream presets with AC-3 audio that show the correct resolution and such for a normal DVD.

And my DVD burners do show up in the list.

So with "normal DVD" settings set, would this burn a normal DVD from the timeline directly? (After it renders it, of course.)

Thanks.

No this isn't possible directly in Vegas. You need a separate DVD authoring program. I use TMPGenc DVD Author for easy ones and DVD Architect for more difficult ones.

Ah, OK, thanks.

I guess the NTSC video settings in the "Blu-Ray from timeline" are there so you can put a lot of NTSC video onto a Blu-Ray disc, not to make an actual NTSC DVD.

I would like to have that as a feature for new versions - I think it could be usefull.
