DVD Jackets

Just curious,

Which software are any of you using to design DVD jackets? I know the dimensions of the sheet, and I suppose I could use Photoshop, but that's a bit of a pain.
I own Nero, EZ-CD Jewel Case Creator, MediaFace (Yuck!), and Click'n Design 3D (which is a great program). None of them print DVD Jackets. There are some templates available for Word which can be downloaded, but no "wizards" etc.

Thanks,
John

I also posted this question on the DVDA forum. Sorry for the double post.

Ive found that the photoshop template that comes with mediaface 4 printed on neato dvd template paper or any A4 size paper to be the easiest and most accurate way to do this. letter size(8.5x11) paper is to small for the dvd sleeves. you can buy a4 size paper at staples. its the european equal to our letter size. Then just trim with scissors or a paper cutter.
best of luck

I'm using Dazzle DVD Complete Deluxe for printing all kinds of inlays and jackets. However: Only if using this application also for authoring...
Working fine.

The way I do it is scan a DVD jacket from a DVD you already own at whatever resolution you plan to print at. Open the document up in photoshop and drag guides where the center (binder) of the DVD is for reference. Make a new layer and delete the original layer (one with graphic on it). There ya go- you have yourself an accurate template to make DVD sleeves.....even with guides to show the layout. Hope this helps.

I use Sure Thing. It has settings for the Surething & Neato DVD case sheets. Sure Thing is a very nice pgm. Easy to use.

Good luck
