I've created several template images for use with DVD Movie Factory. You can download the winzip file (628kb) from my site if you wish.

Once downloaded, extract the 9 files from the zip file to DVD Movie Factory's background folder which by default is:
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory\DVD MovieFactory\Background
You can put them wherever you want on your PC, it just makes them easier to find if you store them in the same folder with the included background images.
To use, start DVD Movie Factory, select AUTHOR MENUS, new project DVD, click NEXT. Click on the ADD MPEG file (must be one or more already rendered MPEG-2 file created in Vegas) Select the file, OPEN. Repeat if you're going to burn multiple files to one DVD.
Click NEXT, use the scrubber (slider control) to move through the file and select at least one thumbnail image to use as a chapter starting point. Click on ADD. Repeat for as many chapter points you want per movie.
Click NEXT. Click on BACKGROUND IMAGE button. You should see the images I made added to the list. Select which one you want. By default DVD Movie Factory will add up to six thumbnail placeholders per page, up to 90 per movie if I remember correctly.
I used Photoshop to make the backgrounds. You can make your own template backgrounds with almost any graphic application. The images should be 768 x 756 JPEG's.
I used Photoshop's default features to create the gradients, textures and green cells and KP5, a Photoshop plug-in for the balls, bubbles, ribbons and swirls.
You of course can use ANY image (including a thumbnail taken from Vegas) as a background, just stick to the default file size of 768 x 756.
