DVD not playing in PS3

I just upgraded to ver 9 of Studio. I was excited to see an option in make movie as make blue ray DVD. I used this option to do this to a regular DVD. Seemed to burn fine. Loaded DVD in PS3 and it did not auto start my movie. I had to go into the dvd via ps3 menu and start it that way. The movie then played fine. Anyone have any ideas why this might be?

Nope...already read all that. It plays, but it does not autostart. I have to dig for the file then start it.

I didn't see anything in that other post to help with that

Some Vegas Pro 8 users, pre DVDA 5, have reported the same problem. When burned from the timeline, PS3 sees it as a data DVD. Which blu-ray template did you use?

Funny - people still have not got the fact, that 002-BDMV structures as prepared by Vegas Pro 8, DVDA5 or Movie Studio does not playback on DVDs - in the PS3. It is possible for some other Blu Ray players, since it is a firmware issue only.

You can create 001-AVCHD-DVDs, that works in the PS3 - but that requires other tools, like Uleads Moviefactory 6+/7.

WHen you say does not play on the PS3? Not sure what you mean. It wont autostart, but when I go thru the directory to the file. It plays fine. No big deal really.

I have a 1 TB hard drive hooked to the PS3 and put my movies on the hard drive..Ala media server :)

So, If I had a blu ray burner..and burned a true BD disk Then would it auto play?

BW all this was done from the timeline and DVD arc was not used at all. I did "Make Movie" from ver 9 timeline
