I have a situation where I have burned approx. 45 dvd-r thru dvd architect 4.5 without a problem. Suddenly the sofware is not accepting this format instead, it wants me to use dvd-rw.. Checked all my parameters in sony pro 8 before transferring to architect and everything is as I've always done it . Has anyone else had this problem?

Meaning what, exactly? What happens when you try to use DVD-R? Do you get an error message? Does DVDA fail to recognize your drive or that there is a blank disc in it? Doesn't it burn okay but doesn't play properly?

Are you using the same brand of DVD-R that you were when it worked fine? Same DVD burner? At the same speed?

I wouldn't worry about that in this instance. The kind of video you're bringing into DVDA has no effect whatsoever on what kind of disc media will work.
