DVD Ripping for Hitachi DVD-R DZ-MV380A Camcorder disks

I need to export the DVD information from a DVD that is finalized on this recorder. I haven't tried anything yet, so I wanted to see if Vegas 4 has a DVD-ripping program embedded in it. This is for ORIGINAL material, not CSS encoded disks... Where do I look in Vegas to do this?
So far the Camcorder has been great, decent quality....
I want to edit the footage in Vegas and Re-encode it with a Dolby Digital
soundtrack.

What kind of files does the camcorder produce?? What is the file extension?? I know we use some of the Panasonic set top recorders and all we have to do is change the file extension to .m2v and then you can use the file just like a normal mpeg file. If it has the .vob files on it then you should be able to just use a program like DVD Decrypter to rip it to your hard drive.

It is my understanding that Hitachi use "realtime video" (VRO/IFO) files. No problem changing the extension from VRO to m2v, but this only gets you raw video without the edit information (which is contained in the IFO file). There is a plug-in that properly handles these files for Premiere, but I haven't find any way to do it in Vegas yet.
