DVD Video is grainy

I captured video with ADS Pyro Av link in avi format. It looks good on the computer through windows media player. I then edited it in VMS 6.0 and sent it to DVD Architect 3.0. The dvd came out pretty lousy. It lost a lot of quality from what it looked like on the computer. Any Ideas ? thanks

Nevermind. I just hooked the camcorder to the tv and the quality was lousy. It looks so much better on the camcorder screen and the PC.

If it's really grainy, and you have some extra time that the computer can be tied up, try using the Median tool on the video, see if that helps clear up the grain. The Median Filter is VERY slow to render, but can do some nice things with noisy video. It will soften the image just a tad.
