I have gone through 10 DVD+R (RW'S) and 2 DVD-R's and none of them work on tv dvd player i have... Is it possible that the dvd player is old and wont see these disc's? I relized that i might have gotten the wrong disks the first time (DVD+R's) because i relized the DVD-R's have the "DVD" logo on them... Whats going on, this is so frustrating!!!!

Yes, it is very possible that an old DVD player would not recognize any of the DVDs. You can look up the compatibility of various players on some sites. You can also test your DVDs in other machines (like a friends house).

I am at a friends house now they have 2 dvd players. One of them played only the menu, and when you tried to play the movie it said the dvd could not be read and spit it out... Also, you couldnt move the selector to the links on the movie... it just wouldnt move. Did i encode wrong? I think i did DVDA NTSC encoding for the video...? Oh and i burnt the CD at 4X, i don't know if that matters???

I also was having problems playing my DVDs burned on -R, using a Panasonic RV-32 player which is 2 yr. old. If possible, try going to your nearest Best Buy or Circuit City and bring your burned discs. Tell them you're looking to buy a new player, but want to test your discs in their new players to see if they'll play. That's what I did and was able to play them in their newer player,.....so I ended up buying a new sony DVP-NS725P which works great. Also, try burning at 1X,...you're likely to get less errors at slower burn. If you're still having problems burning in new player, then it must be your encoding and burning that's got a problem somewhere.....Good luck
