* Added support for markers rendered in AVC by Vegas Pro 8.0c. * Improved stability when working with projects containing a large number of files. * Fixed a bug that caused In/Out points to be ignored within Blu-ray Disc projects. * Fixed a bug that prevented the Initial audio track, Initial subtitle track, and Initial video angle settings from working properly within Blu-ray Disc projects.
Mike, do you know what kind of support for AVC-related markers?
I have had some marker-related issues with DVDA v5, and I believe they were most often seen with AVCHD files. But honestly, I have been climbing the Vegas/DVDA learning curve so quickly over the last 6-8 weeks, that I certainly may simply have missed something obvious. I certainly don't know of anything specific I've missed related to the marker issue though, and almost every project I work on shares the same basic parameters.
But if you (or anyone) knows anything specific about markers and AVCHD file rendering, I'd love to hear about it. Sometimes this stuff can drive you nuts!
Can anyone tell me why I get coasters when burning a DVDA5 project?
I can see what looks to be a nice deep burn on the disk but when I try to play it I get "no disk".
When I burn the same project (prepared in DVDA5) with ImageBurn I have no problems.
Not that big of a deal since I can prepare in DVDA but just curious.
Thanks,
Randy
I have gotten the exact same thing on occasion Randy, but only when I try to burn a project on a double density DVD-R disk. It has never occurred with a single density disk. I use Sony disks, for the most part--no particular reason except that I have always had great luck with them, and for the most part I don't see any bad disks. In fact I just had my first bad disk this weekend, and I have burned nearly 100 disks throughout this fall's volleyball season. So one per cent is acceptable to me, I guess.
But with the double density disks, often my DVD player will say "no disk" or "disk dirty" after I have burned it. I haven't tried ImgBurn though, and think that's a great idea. My daughter has a DVD player in her room and these same disks will usually play on that machine--and the coach has not had any issues playing them either. So I just assumed that it was a hardware issue, but I still try to burn to 4.7GB DVD media whenever possible.
But whoever it was that suggested I try ImgBurn...I owe you one. It's a great application!
Thanks TB,
They're not double density they're ProDisk 4.7 GB and I've always had great results with them until upgrading to DVDA 5....oh well, thanks again TB.
