I opened one just fine, however, my original video files were missing, but the project opened just fine for me.

I opened one of mine just now. No problem. It contains both MPG and AC3 files.

That's wierd... when I try to open a .dar file I get the message that the demo does "not allow this file to be imported". It instructs me to buy the product to import AC-3, MPEG, or MP3 files. I did create the .dar in DVD1c

You mention a DVDA 2 Trial? Is DVDA 2 downloadable or where did you get the trial from?

Just go to the top of this page and click on download. Then click on trials. Then click on the Vegas+DVD Production Suite.

Thanks. I just downlaoded Vegas 5.0 from the Updates area and didn't see any reference to DVDA 2.0

Do you know if this trial version be purchased and activated normally to enable full functionality or is it strictly an function limited trial version?

You should simply be able to enter the registration key without needing to reinstall anything else.
