DVDA-2 navigation issue w/ different players

Hi all. I just completed a large but straightforward project for a band banquet slideshow. One menu, one large file (about 45 minutes long) with many chapter markers, four buttons on the menu, each of which selects a particular section of the large file, using "in" and "out" points. Everything works fine in preview mode. Now for the problem. When I go through the chapters using "next" on DVD remote, when I get to the last marker within a section, I would expect it to return to the main menu. Instead, it continues playing the file past the last chapter marker and does not return to the main menu until the section reaches the "out" point for that button. On some DVD players, it works properly and returns to the main menu after hitting the "next" button after the last marker within a section is reached and you push the "next" button again. On other players, it does not return to the main menu and continues playing. When the end of the section is readhed at the "out" point, it then returns to the main menu. About half the DVD players I tried work as I want, and the other players do not. If I don't find the cause of this problem soon, I am temped to eliminate the menu altogether and just make a "single movie". Navigation is not as good, but you can move through the chapters pretty easily. Any thoughts? I also tried to build a DVD with several small files and dropping duplicate files in the root directory instead of using the one large file. Exactly the same result as the first method - different results with different DVD players

Thanks

I'm not sure that is actually a bug.

IMO, players just don't all work the same way. That seems to be a given. I wouldn't worry about it too much. As a viewer, I would rather have the possibility to access chapters (even if the last one does not quite work out as you intend) than have to deal with a single-movie DVD.

BTW, when watching DVDs, I would always use the menu button in order to return to the main menu before the program has finished and not go all the way through it with "next".
