DVDA 5.0 Build(150) Problems

I had build 128 installed and decided to try build 150. I started the installer and it asked me if I wanted to upgrade the current version. I chose that option and the installer went thru its procedures and then said it was complete.

I went to start DVDA 5.0 (150) but there was no executables in the program Files (x86) directory. Evidently the installer removed the previous version files but did not install the build 150 files. I had to uninstall build 150 as it was then I could re-install build 150 as a "clean" install. After that point DVDA 5.0 build 150 application was accessible.

I encountered another problem with build 150 once it was operational. It did not support BD5 and BD9 optical disc formats for AVCHD disc creation. I have uninstalled build 150 and went back to build 128.

I had the same experience, except that I did not try BD 5 or 9, but found that b150 would not accept AC3 sound. I can't understand why it has not been withdrawn.

I don't understand it either. Probably fixed another set of defects but introduced some others. It appears the release quality of the latest Sony software is not what it was in previous versions. I have not had any issues with any previous versions. Makes me think twice about future upgrades.

Add me to the list of those not being able to understand why Sony haven't removed v Build 150 from the available downloads. There are at least two of us on here (and probably more) who have received emails from Sony admitting to a problem with Build 150 and that a fix is being worked on.

You can add me to the list of those who have been told by Sony that build 150 does not work at the Burning or Prepare stages. Sony can supply a link to download the build 128 version (from 2010) which was the trial version and does work correctly.
