DVDA 5.0 Pro vs DVDA 4.5 Studio

Hello All,

Last week when I selected "play all," I noticed that the delay between each chapter in DVD-A 5.0 Pro seemed about 1 1/2 seconds longer than the delay between each chapter in DVD-A 4.5 Studio. It was noticed by others too and for that extra second we had an awkward pause between each chapter.

I prepared the DVD for 5.0 Pro the same as I always did for 4.5 Studio. If anything, there wasn't enough delay in Studio between each chapter and I often wished there was just a 1/2 second longer delay. (Be careful what you wish for.)

Has anyone else who has moved from 4.5 Studio to 5.0 Pro noticed this? Is there a setting I can adjust? I looked and I did not notice one straight off.

Regards

Kimberly

Just in case it may help someone, tell us how you figured it out.

Sorry for the delay in response. I'm outside the USA right now and we have Internet access just once a week . . . when it's working, which has not been the case these past 4 weeks : (

Anyway, I figured out that it was my mistake on having too much dead space after each of my MPG files.

I create a compilation DVD with about 10 MPG files that are about 3 minutes each. There is a main menu and a scene selection menu for each MPG file. I render the MPG files from Vegas Pro10.

So when the MPG file ends, each one had an extra 1-2 seconds of legal black and silence, which created an uncomfortable pause between each MPG file when I was showing them in a "Play All" mode on my DVD. So funny because 1-2 seconds is nothing, but it can be an eternity when you are looking at a blank screen!

I am new to DVD-A Pro, but for the most part it behaves very similarly to DVD-A 4.5 Studio. I was just a bit wigged out because I couldn't figure out what was "wrong" but it turned out it was my error all along.
