DVDA Animated Buttons Jumpy

[I know there's a DVDA forum, but it's not as well frequented]

Has anyone ever encountered "jumpy" animated buttons in DVDA? I've created 4 new projects over the past week in DVDA, but for some reason, the one I did tonight had buttons with animated footage very jumpy. On the main menu and the Scene Selection menus all had buttons jumpy every second or so. I'm not aware of changing any settings in between successful projects and this one. I deleted the prepared files and re-rendered with no success.

Drive filled to cap? length of button time? Workflow to animate?

My drive has about 110 GB remaining.

I have two buttons on the main menu: one is link to 1 hour concert, the other is "Song Selection" button. The length of the audio/video media clip running behind the animated buttons is 1:24 long, and the buttons stop being animated when the clip ends also.

Workflow to animate: for the main menu's background media, I rendered the 1:24 minute clip as an mpg in Vegas, using the Ultimate S Motofoto option with about 6 video clips moving in the background of the clip (not sure if this makes a difference). Then, in DVDA I clicked Insert, Media, and once the button was created for the media I inserted, over in Button Properties, I clicked Style, Animated, then the start time. For the Song Selection Button, I added Scene Selection option, then each of the 6 scenes per page are also animated (set up with the same procedure as above). I had done the same procedure for 3 previous DVD's last week, and I thought I followed the same template. I'm not sure if this would have caused the problem: when preparing this project in DVDA, one of my kids had flipped on several AC's on the same circuit as my system, and it shut the system down in the middle of preparation. I deleted the partially prepared files, then began again, but I'm not sure if DVDA is acting odd since. I started, then restarted, then re-rendered, and each new prepared group of files has the same jumpiness to the buttons. The main footage on the DVD (including each Song Selection portion) is fine, it's just the buttons that are being prepared wrong.

Thanks for any help you may have.

Edit Update: the disc space used in the lower right corner of DVDA was 4.3 GB but it was in RED. I just changed the two buttons on the main menu to "Still" vs. "Animated," and the 4.3 GB remained the same but it was now in YELLOW. I'm preparing it now to see if the jumpiness goes away. Anyone encounter this?
