Since DVDA-2a and Vegas Video 5.0b both seem to have broken various things, why not have an 'interim' release to only fix the things newly broken in the latest updates?

That way we won't have to wait as long for the next release...

...and then another interim release for the things that were newly broken in the first interim release...?

What do you think this is, open source? <g>

Would it not be possible to release software patches as many other software vendors have done and then pick them all up on the next official release? Beats waiting an indeterminate length of time for DVDA2B

Here is a comparison chart that lists the new features of DVDA2. There were some bug fixes, as well. Personally, I think the addition of end actions, a much handier project overview window, custom highlighting, a more intuititive timeline, and the ability to have multiple instances of the same file (without increasing the space needed) are reasons enough to upgrade.

For example, can DVDA 2 produce MPEG-4 DVDs?

No. It only makes "real" DVDs. ;-)

Sorry if this sounds condescending, but are you pressing the >> button on your remote or the >>| button? What you describe is normal for the >> button.
