DVDA Crashing OT?

I've posted as OT since I know it should be in the DVDA forum but have had no reply there.
It is DVDA 3 and has worked perfectly since new but last week it went crazy.
It will load but when I try to open an existing project or even add media it just shuts down, a restart then stalls with an error message of 'an exception occurrance' clicking this off shuts DVDA.
Have uninstalled and reloades a number of times, ckecked for viruses. At the weekend it did come good and I completed a project no worries but today no go. all other computer functiond seem ok, Vegas is ok.?
Thanks Brian

I think (in my ignorance) that something isn't right with your machine (not a problem with DVDA). Three options I'd be looking at:
1) run EndItAll to get rid of stuff that you don't need running
2) run SystemMechanic to find any faults
and/or
3) set you operating system back to a date when it was working (this doesn't lose any data).

If you're impatient you could try 3 first, and when that doesn't work do the others.

Thanks Serena, I thought it would be computer related. Endital is new to me but is magic for near nerds who are not into working in registry language!!!
By closind the rundll32 app DVDA runs fine, dont know what this means since it is obviously a required file for overall operations??
Will investigate further, maybe reload service pack2??
Thanks again, Brian
