Yes. It is a bit complicated, but the HELP file tells how to do it.

Thanks Dave... I got it figured I think.

I have Allan Parson's "Voyager" music opening this disk (for personal use) and I wanted each piece of the menu to pop in at each drum beat at the beginning of the piece. I thought I wanted it to fade in but POPPING in at each drum beat looks better. It starts off black then the blue menu background pops in at the first drum beat, then the title at the next, then another button.... and so on. It seems pretty easy once you get a hang of the keyframing.

Hi,

Great idea! Following these instructions I am able to do whatever cropping and animation with the menu background, but whatever I do, the rightclick popu menu selection - for the cropping and adjusting - stays grayed, as about half of the menu alternatives...

What is wrong? Some setting not correct or what?

Christian

You should be able to right click on the button and get "crop and adjust". It's a bit tedious because you have to crop/adjust the button, the media, and the mask all separately and time it all to the music, but it does work. I zero out the alpha for a set period of time with one "in" and one "out" keyframe then almost on top of the "out" keyframe I'll place another keyframe to bring back full alpha.

The only thing I can't figure out is how to pop the text out then in... there doesn't seem to be crop/adjust for text.

Well... I can get every thing to pop in a bit at a time according to the drum beats EXCEPT for the text.

Does anybody know if there is a way to keyframe the text to pop onto the menu? I suppose I could run the text as part of the video in the animated buttons which would be a good work around but I'd rather not if I don't have to.
