Don't use DVDA. Use the burning software that came with the drive.

If not DVDA, does someone know of a good DVD program to use to backup data? Also, I'm new to DVD burning, so is it possible to burn files on a blank DVD like you do on a CD with a program like Nero, only a program that is for DVD burning?

Surely your DVD burner came with software for burning data discs? Mine came with software that treats the burner as just another drive letter, so you can drag files onto it in windows explorer.

Yes, you can use Nero to just burn data to a DVD disc.

What version of Nero do you have? The latest version (5.5.x.x) will burn to DVD. If you have version 5.x, you can update for free from www.nero.com.
