I recently authored and burned my first DVD using DVDA 2. Everything worked perfectly.
But then I had to make a few small changes to the film. I did this, re-rendered it, then went back to DVDA, removed the original video file (which I called Version 1) and replaced it with the changed file (which I called Version 2).
The problem was, none of the scene selection links worked anymore, even though all the chapter markers were identically placed in both versions. I had nothing but broken links in the scene selection menu.
I thought I'd have to redo the entire DVD. But after thinking about it overnight, I realized maybe the links were freaking out because they were dealing with A DIFFERENT FILE NAME. So I renamed Version 2's audio and video files "Version 1" (the original name) and voila, everything worked perfectly again. The links just wanted to deal with the original file name.
This might be obvious to you experienced users of DVDA. But if you fellow newbies ever do some complex authoring and later have to change the audio or video file, make sure you give it the ORIGINAL file name so DVDA will be happy!
