When I burn audio CD's, I would never do anything else on my computer for fear of interrupting the streaming data. In the old days, this was sure to cause skips and create many a center-vented coaster.

Now, I run XP on a 3.0 gHz machine with 2 gb ram. Is DVD burning going to be ok if I want to surf the web at the same time?

Just curious, because I'm burning to some 4x drives, and it takes a long time.
