DVDAS 5.0 Crashes

I can render projects using VMSHDP 10.0 with what I think are the correct settings for my footage :
Type Sony AVC
Template AVCHD 1440 x 1080 – 50I

Using DVDAS 5.0 I can create a “Menu-Based project” using my rendered material and then burn a Blu-Ray disk. But:

DVDAS 5.0 likes my material rendered in separate chunks and loaded into individual chapters. To render my material into chunks in VMSHDP 10.0 I select “Render Loop Regions Only”.

DVDAS 5.0 does not seem to like my material as a single rendered file. Therefore if I attempt to create a “Single Movie” project it soon crashes.

Details of the problem are:

Problem Description
Application Name: DVD Architect Studio
Application Version: Version 5.0 (Build 128)
Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xccccfffe)
Offset: 0x0000B727 Fault Module C:\Windows\syswow64\KERNELBASE.dll
Fault Address: 0x750CB727
I am using Windows 7
Advice appreciated. Thanks

You're always better exporting your video from Vegas as DVD-ready or BluRay ready video clips than you are using video directly from a camcorder, Grecian.

Do you experience crashes when you're using video exported from Vegas?

Hi Steve
The video is from Vegas. I have downloaded my video from the camcorder into Vegas, where I have edited it. Then I have tried to export it from Vegas into DVDA and that's when I encounter the problems.
My aim to is to create a menu structure, which I don't think you can do in Vegas. I can render and burn a Blu Ray disk fine with Vegas, but the problems begin when I start exporting to DVDA .
DVDA seems OK to create menu based projects, but I just cannot create a single movie project without a crash, as detailed in my original post.
(I can burn a Blu Ray disk from a menu based project using DVDA, but it takes far, far longer than Vegas)

You are rendering to AVCHD, but why? Those are not the correct settings for a Blu-Ray project.

Burn to a Blu-Ray video stream template, and separate AC3 or PCM audio stream, to create compliant files for DVD Architect.

Many thanks. I have now created a video render using a Blu Ray template and the resulting video seems completely stable in DVDA. Good

I have rendered the audio separately and have managed to add it in to the project. I presume that the synchronization is OK between video and audio.

Next step to attempt a Blu Ray burn.
