DVDPrep Problem

Butch Moore wrote on 1/19/2011, 10:14 AM
Is there a reason why the VASST DVD Prep script will not install in VP10/Win7?

When installing, it returns the error "VASST DVDPrep requires Vegas Pro. A compatible Vegas Pro installation could not be found. The installer will now close. Your system has not been modified."

I recently upgraded to Win7 with a fresh install of Vegas Pro. Any ideas?

Thanks

I can't answer this specific question because I don't have the script...but is there any reason you're not using the standard prep and DVD-A to make the DVD?

DVDPrep does the "standard" preparation for you, preparing both mp2 and ac3 files. Then I use DVDA to burn the product.

It's a real time saver in some instances. I'm dissappointed that it now won't load to my machine. I was hoping that someone could offer a solution.

Many thanks to John Rofrano for his quick reply to my question when sent directly to VAAST.

John said, "The Freeware installers have not been updated for Vegas Pro 10 yet. They will install if a previous version of Vegas is also installed. We will update them in the future but we have been busy working on our “paid for” products which must come first. Ultimate S Lite and Ultimate S Pro have the same capabilities if you need them right now."

Thanks John!

I resemble that remark. ;-)

Yea, we will try and get to these soon.
