DVGate (Sony) says .avi file unsupported when print-to-tape

I cannot print my rendered files to tape as the software I use to "export" the rendered .avi (NTSC DV) says the file .avi is unsupported. This software (DVGate) is a sony product.

Anybody have experience with this?

Any ideas for other software that would do the trick? Does VF print-to-tape 'cause I can't find the functionality.

Thanks!

When you render, use the standard DV NTSC template and don't change
any settings at all.

To print back to tape, go to Capture Video, and in the VidCap program
click on the "Print to Tape" tab. This will let you print the tape back out
to your firewire device.

LOL!!!! Your response just made my day! Thanks!

But if you're really curious, "man" will do fine. ;)

I wasn't sure if I was being obtuse!

At any rate, thanks very much for your help! I'm prining to tape just fine now! Now, if I could just figure out why my rendered output is being "squeezed" to square. I'm using NTSC DV normal codec and I'm printing-to-tape to play on the T.V.

Any ideas?

(I've also posted this question to the forum as a whole so if you have an answer you could just post it there to prevent duplication of response)
