dvx100 or 24 p

hi my name is nelson reis and i just order a panasonic dvx100 and now
iam looking with software that suport 24 fps basically my question is

using vegas 4.0 + dvd ive read that vegas supports 24 p timeline like avid and such programs but whem i mention that my final project is to be in dvd format none of those programs can output to dvd
can vegas export a 24 p time line to dvd keeping the 24 p native quality that i shoot with the dvx 100 .

Yes, you have made a wise choice. Vegas will take the DV file in 24p from the camera, and after editing will render an MPEG2 file in 24p which can be imported into DVD-Architect (the +DVD of the Vegas+DVD name) as a 24p file (which also saves space on the DVD disk). Audio can be either DVD audio or Dolby Stereo (AC-3) format on the DVD, Vegas+DVD will make that too. There are special instructions in the help files of each program for this, also help on the web site for Vegas.
