Easy 16 x 9

Is there an easy way to superimpose horizontal black bars on top and bottom of my 4 x 3 video to simulate widescreen? How do I get the width of those bars exactly right to precisely create a 16 x 9 sub-image?

Hi Swett:

I am not at my computer right now, so the exact steps may not be 100% accurate.

What you can do is go into Pan/Crop on the video clip and select one of the presets from the drop down list. There will be some in there like 'Default', '16:9', and one for '1.85:1'. You can also create your own in here as well. Anyway, just select one of the presets and you should have a simulated 'widescreen' look with the black bars.
