I can sort of understand eBay's position, they could get mired down in all sorts of complications trying to check the validity of what someone is saying, you might be quite legitimately selling something but I just don't like you selling it so I lodge a malicious complaint to cause you grief.

All that said however your record label should be snapping to attention, isn't that what they get such a large slice of the pie for. Looking at that eBay auction this would seem to be a cut above the average rip off merchant, someone has put serious time and effort into it, obviously with the intention of making a significant return.

Well, it was Sony I was trying to help, but if they don't care, and if ebay doesn't care, I guess my work here is done. Ultimately, I still believe my Econ 101 lessons; that ultimately, the cost of piracy is paid by legimate licensees in the form of higher prices and upgrade fees.

Imagine this: somebody breaks into your home, steals your computer or your guitar, then takes a full color ad out on ebay advertising it... DSE, you must be furious!
