You won't have any problems with any of the Echo products. The mona was only made in the 24/96 version, so no matter how old it is, it's still relatively new.

I second that. I've had a Mona since they first came out. It works flawlessly and sounds great. The only possible issue is that they used cheap pots on the mic pres; I had mine replaced once (they did it for free) and it could really use new ones again.
Other than that, you'll install it -- easily -- and forget it: it won't cause any problems.

I got the Mona yesterday. I was lucky to find it. I had called my local Guitar Center asking about it. He wanted to sell me a maudio firewire devise, but he looked up and told me that only one store in Michigan had only one left. He didn't seem to want to get it for me so hung up and called all the stores in Michigan and found it. I think they had to clean out the store room to find it.The box looked very used.
They also sent me a " Layla" laptop adapter. They look like the same thing and even Echo thought it would work, but it didn't. It installs Layla drivers. Good thing they didn't charge me for it. The manager must have looked at the box and said give it to him we'll never sell it. I called half the stores in the USA. I found one in Florida. They are over nighting it to me. Once I get the Mona adapter and install the Mona drivers will the Layla adapter work?
