Just installed vegas 4.0 on a abit nf7 board with a nvidia built in soundcard. Anyone got any idea why vegas has reverb or echo when in the video capture mode? I'm using a video capture card and everything seems fine on the card software.
Probably becuase you're listening to the audio from the camera / VCR as well as the PCs speakers. There's a delay of several frames between the tape being played out and the signal getting to the sound card.
Needless to say it will not be in the captured video.
actually it wasn't that. It turned out to be the preview audio option was turned on in the capture video module. Now why would it do that is beyond me. Now my only problem is audio sync, but that seems to be a known problem.
Audio sync is not a known problem!
And having preview audio on isn't a problem either, I have it on all the time.
The audio you hear from the VCR will be in sync with the video from the VCR.
The captured audio and video will also be in sync.
The audio from the VCR will NOT be in sync with the captured video, it isn't meant to be.
