"Edit Details" Question

Is there a way to export the "Edit Details" function of Vegas as a text file? If not, is this something that can be done with a script?

Sure. Just highlight the items you want and press CTRL-C

Then go to notepad (or word or excel...) and press CTRL-V

Now, save it however you want.

Ok - this prompted an old thought of mine.... this works from the Edit Details box (select rows; copy & paste); I can't get it to work in the Media Pool.

I'd like to be able to take the details on each tape that I capture and keep them in Excel. Having clip name, comments, in/out points handy in one place would be great.... Is there a way?

I played with exporting this data in xml (now I don't even remember for sure what I did), but it wasn't turning out very good.
