edit point "between" frames...

I'm wondering if anyone has any insight into this.

When I'm editing, after I've been working on a project for a bit, I will notice that some of my video cuts are not on frames but "between frames". I understand that post edit ripple can cause issues like this.

I've turned off "do not quantize to frames for audio-only edits" in the Preferences menu to keep things working at the "frame" level but I still end up with a bunch of "between frame" cut points.

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong? Something I've missed? I know that Vegas is great at sliding the audio around at the sub frame level but I'm hoping to keep my video from going there.

Thanks for any insight.

What about Quantize to Frames option in the Options menu? Was it turned on?
Also it could happen if you changed the project options (fps) after the cuts were made.

Thanks for the reply.

Quantize to frames is on and framerate is unchanged.

Frame rate changes is the only time I've seen this. What about mismatch between time line media frame rate and project frame rate? Wonder if that could do it.

Also check the format of the timeline ruler.
