editing a single noise event

i have a large wav file from a concert recording ---at the 10 minute mark a chair was knocked over and the chair clattered to the floor. i would like to edit this out if it is possible without losing the orchestra and the voice that was singing at the time.

Probably the best way to do this is to find another part of the recording in which exactly the same notes/words were being performed, copy them, and paste that over the chair noise.
