Drag the imported clips individually onto the Vegas timeline (i.e. not all together, or you'll end up with a larger file than you anticipated) and then choose File, Make movie. Choose Save it to your hard drive. Choose a template that is suitable for your playback device. Render the final movie as a Windows Media Video file (.WMV). 3Mb/s is fine for playing off a DVD or hard drive. Then I'm sure you can then use the resulting clip directly in Powerpoint.
