Editing Movie Studio 11 with Vegas Pro 10

Does anyone know if how I can edit Sony Movie Studio 11 with Vegas Pro 10? I am working with someone that has Vegas Pro 10 and I need him to do some corrections/edits on my project. I've tried to see if there is a way to export the file in a different format, but that's proving hard.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Vegas Pro 10 should be backwards compatible with VMS project files.
However, VMS 11 was released after Vegas Pro 10, meaning they probably won't open.

If the project can be completed in 30 days, Your Vegas Pro 10 editor can install the VMS 11 trial on his machine. As an alternative, you can install and register your copy of VMS 11 on the other machine, and remove it once the project is completed. This is permitted under the EULA.

Just for the record I attempted to open a VMS 11 project in my copy of Vegas Pro 10e and it gave me an error message that the file was not compatible with my version of Vegas. Looks like you'll need to follow musicvid's excellent advice.
