Just need a second opinion on this:
As our 58" plasma works well with mpeg-2 25 Mbps 1920x1080 50i (via DLNA - giving very clear and sharp pictures and very smooth movements) I have used mpeg-2 as my delivery format for some years now).
I use New Deshaker a lot. The New Deshaker can output mpeg-2 and as Vegas Pro can "render" mpeg-2 clips to mpeg-2 finished video using "No recompression" I can save one encode/decode step this way.
It has worked great for long time. Before Vegas Pro 10, editing and previewing these mpeg-2 files were even much faster and smoother than with my AVCHD originals.
Now I had to do it again - first time after installing 10.0c 64bit, btw.. The last 25 hours my machine has been New Deshaking some hundred+ clips. All went well.
But then I put these mpeg-2 clips onto the timeline, as so often before - but today Vegas went crazy - and up to now it has "Stopped working" more than 20 times.
Does anybody know if this is a 10.0c problem - or earlier?
(Besides the above problem Vegas 10.0c works perfectly and rock stable on my machine doing AVCHD High profile 1920x1080 50i and up to 25 Mbps - so I doubt that it can be a local problem - must have something to do with editing mpeg-2?.)
