Zoom in on the timeline far enough so that you can see individual frames. This should make it easier for you. I would split (S) at the beginning of the frame to be removed, then trim the right side of the split to remove the frame, then drag the right side back up against the left side. This will remove the audio for the duration of the frame too.

While you're here :) ... how do I do the opposite? I want to use just a single frame from an existing clip, to place as a still. This must be easy and I'm just missing it in the help files...

Many thanks ... exactly what I needed.

I didn't notice the save-to-disk icon, as most of my software is configured to use text rather than icons -- even VF's media pool.
