Editing VOB files

Since Sony does not support VOB files unless they come off a camcorder, what do you recommend for editing VOB files on a PC which come off my VHS/DVD burner?

You can do basic cut/split/join, or you can just remux to .mpg files that work flawlessly in Vegas.

You can use it free for 45 days.

I converted VOBs to MPEGs and opened them in Vegas. They play with audio in the Trimmer Window but the audio does not play in the main timeline. Any ideas?

I converted my file to an avi.
A/V plays in the preview and trimming windows. Audio will not play in the main time line.

Can anyone please help me?

1. Download MediaInfo and post the details about your original .vob files.

2. What version of Quicktime is installed on your machine?
