Efects timing

Hi
Can the effects timing (how fast they occur) be changed?
I have been playing with VF2c and the transitions occur two fast (i.e spiral) and havenot found anything on changing their timing.

The effect (or transition) will last as long as the overlap between the clips. If you want it to last longer, overlap the clips more. If you want a transition from or to black (no other clip overlapping), adjust the fade time by dragging the top corner of the clip.
