Hope this makes sense....

I'm working on a project and at a few points in the video I want a "stutter" effect. The best way I can describe it here is the person's head will be on one side of the frame with text on the opposite. (think docu head shot) Every few seconds, the persons head would kinda stutter - ie. move slightly but abruptly and then be back in the original position. The text will do this as well. I've seen a similar effect done sporting programs for effect when an athlete's mug is up with stats etc.

I think I know a way to do this...involves having a duplicate track beneath the main track etc.... Not sure this is the best way. I'm looking for the best, not easiest, way to accomplish this. It would be great if the best way was easy :-)

Now, for those of you who are still with me.....Any ideas....
